DESIGN
Kaylie Dawn designs are usually inspired by the materials on hand, like special gemstones or interesting closures. I only make what I would like to wear. To me, there is both whimsy and simplicity in the line. Designs usually come to me early in the morning or late at night as I close my eyes to sleep. As soon as possible, I draw a sketch and a new Kaylie Dawn piece is officially created.
SELECTION
I import high-quality metal and gemstone beads. I always look at the origin of the stones; it feels like a special secret knowing that the Amazonite came from our very own state of Colorado or that the rose quartz was responsibly sources from Brazil. As a painter, I'm naturally attracted to vibrant colors. When you combine lovely color and the healing properties of gemstones, jewelry can really affect the wearer in a positive way.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
Kaylie Dawn started as a line of stretchy bracelets during the pandemic. Making them was a way to practice creativity and stay busy while indoors. Years later, thousands of bracelets have been distributed to my wholesale partners and there have been no quality issues to my knowledge so far! Our elastic is top-notch and the entire jewelry line is made using the most current techniques to ensure quality and long-lasting wear.
