Growing up, I dreamed of becoming a professional painter. I was fortunate to have parents who encouraged me to pursue a Fine Art degree. At the heart of that intention was my passion for color. What started as a fascination with brushstrokes on canvas gradually evolved into a deeper exploration of how different metals complement skin tones and how natural gemstones reflect the hues we’re most drawn to.

 

My journey into jewelry wholesaling began as a buyer and store manager at a leading accessories boutique in Boston. I originally took the job to save up for art supplies, but as the years went by, I completely fell in love with the industry. I had the opportunity to explore every corner of the jewelry world, from exquisite, one-of-a-kind designs to high-volume imports. That experience sparked a lasting passion. While I didn’t officially start making jewelry until 2019, the inspiration and eye for design had been planted long before then.

 

Today, every Kaylie Dawn piece is handcrafted in Rhode Island with a focus on quality and durability. I work primarily with 14k gold-filled beads and components, chosen for their anti-tarnish, hypoallergenic, and waterproof properties—perfect for those with sensitive skin or anyone who wants jewelry that’s both beautiful and low-maintenance. Using these materials ensures each piece can be worn and loved for years to come.
